Built on three decades of delivery
A Pune-based software and data engineering company founded in 2021. We build new software, data platforms and AI, modernise legacy systems, and keep them running.
The founder
Our founder has built and run production systems since 1996. Early years in software development and IT management were followed by a long stretch as a SAS and Ab Initio specialist and delivery manager for global banking and analytics teams, and then by large cloud data migrations on Azure, Databricks and SAP.
Prakalp Systems exists to bring that depth to businesses directly: senior judgement on the design, and hands-on delivery.
Career highlights
- Led the migration of 450+ legacy ETL jobs from IBM DataStage to PySpark on Databricks, with an automated data reconciliation engine
- Led a migration from IBM Netezza and SAP HANA to Greenplum, using Kafka for bulk data loads
- Delivered SAS 9.3 to 9.4 platform migrations for enterprises across Asia
- Set up EME compliance and data lineage on one of the largest Ab Initio platforms in India
- Built cloud data pipelines on Azure Data Factory, Matillion, Snowflake, AWS Redshift and Databricks
- Led delivery teams and SAS Grid platforms for a global bank
